Retirement of Etienne Herrbach

Etienne 2

After a career of almost 40 years at the INRAE Colmar center, Etienne Herrbach has retired. He was a member of the Virology and Vection team.

A renowned entomologist, he dedicated his career to the study of plant-insect relationships as applied to virus transmission.

From aphids responsible for sugar beet yellows to mealybugs transmitting grapevine viruses, Etienne was a specialist in homopteran vectors and many other insects.

A new career is opening up for him. We wish him a long and happy retirement!
