Plateforme vinification

A platform with the following objectives

  • for Inra: evaluation of genotypes resulting from the breeding program of grapevine varieties resistant to downy and powdery mildew and more generally of any varietal innovation
  • for Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins d'Alsace (CIVA): evaluation of clones of traditional Alsatian grape varieties for approval and study of genotype x terroir x rootstock interactions
  • for Institut Français de la Vigne et du Vin (IFV): research and development concerning the reasoned use of oenology inputs and white winemaking routes enhancing the aromatic potential of the grape harvest

Equipment allowing the treatment of any type of volume:

  • micro-vinification in bottles (2-10 l of wine)
  • mini-vinification in bonbonne (25-75 l) and minicuve (100-200 l)
  • large volume vinification in stainless steel vats (from 500 l)
  • wine analysis (current analyzes, aromatic compounds, ... see Analysis platform for grapevine secondary metabolism)

This project was co-financed by Région Grand Est (Alsace), Union européenne via le Fonds européen du développement régional (FEDER), Inra, CIVA and IFV.
